When Obvious Isn’t Obvious

Sometimes common sense isn’t loud, it’s quiet, calm and easy to miss when we’re in our heads.

Sometimes what’s obvious… isn’t.
At least not when we’re caught in our heads.
We overcomplicate, analyse, rehearse, convince, delay.

And then, often when we’ve stopped trying so hard, the clearest, simplest answer just shows up.

It’s not common sense in the textbook sense.
It’s the quiet kind.
The kind that often arrives when we least expect it — and makes us wonder how we didn’t see it all along.

Questions For Coaches

  • Where are you currently overcomplicating something simple?
  • What might become clear if you stopped trying to figure it out?
  • When have you had a moment of “oh, that’s obvious” clarity?
  • What helps your inner knowing rise to the surface?

No need to answer them all, just see where your attention is drawn.
