Turning toward what remains steady, even when everything else changes.
“We must build our faith not on fading lights but on the Light that never fails.” (Oswald Chambers)
It’s easy to build our sense of security on things that change.
A person, a plan, an idea, a belief about how life should look.
And when those things move or fade, it can feel as if the ground has shifted beneath us.
what if there’s a steadier kind of light we can turn toward, one that doesn’t depend on circumstances or outcomes? The more we notice it, the more we see that it was never gone, only hidden by passing clouds.
That light might show up as calm, clarity, love, or wisdom, a quiet knowing that’s present even when everything else feels uncertain.
When we stop chasing the fading lights, we often find the one that never left.
Questions For Coaches
- What helps you reconnect with the light that doesn’t fade?
- How do you notice the difference between external reassurance and inner steadiness?
- When have you seen calm return simply by remembering what doesn’t change?
- How do you support clients in recognising their own light, even when it feels dim?
You don’t need to answer every question, just notice which one feels alive for you.
