Sometimes what looks like coincidence carries its own kind of wisdom.
“Chance is a nickname of Providence.” (Nicolas Chamfort)
There are times when what we call chance can, in hindsight, feel like something more.
A meeting that changes everything.
An unexpected pause that creates space for a new direction.
A delay that turns out to be perfect timing.
Whether we call it luck, coincidence, or divine order, moments like these often seem to have a quiet intelligence of their own.
It is as if life knows how to unfold, even when we do not.
When we begin to notice this quiet intelligence at work, it can shift something deep within us. We relax our grip on control, open our attention to what is already moving, and start to sense a natural rhythm to the way things unfold.
Perhaps what we call chance is simply life guiding us back to alignment, one unexpected moment at a time.
Questions For Coaches
- What moments in your life or coaching practice have felt guided rather than planned?
- How does your perspective shift when you trust the timing of things?
- Where do you see the line between chance and choice?
- What happens when you look for the quiet intelligence beneath the surface of events?
You do not need to answer every question, just notice which one speaks to you.
