Before we learned to think so much about life, we simply lived it.
When we’re young, we live naturally.
We follow what feels alive, we cry when we’re hurt, and then we move on.
There’s a simplicity to it, life unfolding moment by moment.
Then we start to think about life, to use the gift of thought.
And sometimes we use that gift in ways that make us unhappy, replaying moments, worrying about what hasn’t happened, or judging what has.
It’s still the same life, still the same mind.
But the more we see thought at work, the easier it is to notice that aliveness we felt when we were young.
Questions For Coaches
- What reminds you of the natural ease we have as children?
- How do you help clients reconnect with what’s innate rather than learned?
- When have you seen overthinking turn into simple clarity?
- What changes when we stop trying to think our way to peace and simply notice it’s already there?
You don’t need to answer every question, just notice which one feels alive for you.
