With coaching reflection questions on effort, intention, and alignment
In today’s society, pride in effort is not unusual.
Busy calendars, long hours, relentless productivity, these can be worn as badges of honour.
But effort alone doesn’t tell us much.
What matters is where it’s pointed.
You can be tireless… and still end up somewhere you didn’t mean to go.
There’s nothing wrong with being busy.
But sometimes the deeper question isn’t how much we’re doing – it’s why.
And for what?
Is any of your busyness just being busy for busyness’ sake?
Coaching Reflection: What Are You Being Industrious About?
- What are you being industrious about lately?
- What’s the deeper motivation behind your busyness?
- How do you support clients in exploring what truly matters to them?
- When does effort feel aligned, and when does it start to feel like noise?
As always:
There’s no pressure to answer every question.
Let the ones that stir something stay with you awhile.
They often carry more than they seem.
“It is not enough to be industrious; so are the ants. What are you industrious about?”
(Henry David Thoreau)
