Courage is not only in what we do, but in how we meet life.
“Valor is strength, not of legs and arms, but of heart and soul.” (Michel de Montaigne)
On this Remembrance Sunday, we pause to honour courage in all its forms.
The kind that faces fear and still chooses love.
The kind that keeps showing up with compassion, even when hearts are heavy.
True valor is not only found in acts of war or great sacrifice.
It lives in the quiet moments too — when someone chooses understanding over anger, kindness over indifference, or hope when it would be easier not to.
These quieter forms of courage often go unseen, but they hold the same depth of spirit.
They remind us that strength of heart and soul can guide us through even the most uncertain times.
Questions For Coaches
- Where do you see quiet courage show up in your own life or the lives of others?
- What does strength of heart look like to you?
- How do you help clients reconnect with their own deeper resilience?
- What reminds you that valor does not always need to be loud to be felt?
You do not need to answer every question, just notice which one feels alive for you.
