Why how we approach things matters—with questions for coaches
It’s simple.
And also… not.
Because sometimes, in our urgency to make progress, prove a point, or fix what feels off, we forget the impact of how we go about things.
We can want something good; clarity, collaboration, change, and still create resistance in the way we approach it.
Sometimes it’s not what we’re trying to do that gets in the way.
It’s how.
And often, the gentler the touch, the sweeter the result.
Coaching Reflection: A Lighter Touch
- Where are you pushing hard for something good, but maybe kicking a few beehives along the way?
- How do you support clients in recognising the impact of their approach?
- What happens when you shift from urgency to invitation?
- Where might a lighter touch serve better right now?
As always:
No pressure to answer everything.
Just notice what lands.
A small shift in approach can make all the difference.
“If you want to gather honey, don’t kick over the beehive.”
