Action Days

Jen Waller @ 5:57 pm

Coaches what could you achieve if you took one day of focused action?

What would the benefits be?

- More potential clients and more money?

- Less stress and energy drains?

Have you had a great fun idea for your business …

  • but somehow just haven’t found the time or energy to do anything with it?
  • Or perhaps you’ve started but other things always seem to have distracted you?

Is there an aspect of your coaching business that …

  • You don’t/can’t delegate to someone else?
  • You put off doing?
  • Yet you know is actually really profitably and beneficial when you do it?

Have you got so far with a marketing activity, and even though you know what to do next, you haven’t done because the next step is scary?

  • Perhaps it’s picking up the phone and contacting potential clients?
  • Maybe it’s about putting into writing what you offer?
  • Or taking some other form of sales generating activity.

Sometimes, it can be really easy to let procrastination, fear and just general distractions get in your way.

We may even tell ourselves that when we do this it’s because there is something wrong with us – perhaps because you are lazy, not trying hard enough or just not worthy of taking such action etc.

Particularly if you are working on your own, perhaps at home, it can be easy to get caught up in such thoughts.

What if it’s not that you are lazy/not trying hard enough / not worthy etc?

What if there was a different approach and more supportive way to kick start your week and make a difference to the momentum of the action you take?

And just imagine the momentum that could be generated in the rest of your week if you began your week with an Action Day.

What is an Action Day?

Action Days are a great way to increase your productivity. You will have support to keep your focus on taking action that makes a difference to getting the success you want.

There are many benefits of an Action Day, not least the amount that you achieve during the day. It is also a fantastic way to assist you in taking actions that you have been putting off or things that scare you.

Many people report the following from an action day:

  • Work is easier with the regular check-ins and accountability
  • Helps keep your focus for longer
  • Helps to avoid time wasting and energy draining distractions

As the name suggests this is a day that focuses upon action.

What actually happens?

Each Monday between the hours of 10am and 10 pm (UK time) there is a group call each hour*. Lasting a maximum of 10 minutes you are invited to call in and make a commitment to the action you will take in the next hour and celebrate your achievements in the past hour.

*It’s not compulsory to attend each and every hours check-in call. The focus of the day is to support you in taking action, not to restrict your actions so that your day revolves around each hours call.

The whole focus of the day is about action. The amount of participants for each Mondays call is deliberately kept to a small figure to keep the length you spend on each call to an optimal time.

Your investment to take part in an Action Day is £25 for a single Action Day

Or

£75 for 4 Action Days

You may have some questions or concerns so let me answer the most frequent ones now:

Does the call always last 10 minutes?

No, once each participant on that hours call has shared what they have done in the last hour, and what they want to do in the next you are welcome to get back to immediate action.

Is this a coaching call?

There will be myself (Jen Waller) or another facilitator on the call until ten past the hour. If there is time there may be the option to get some laser coaching or ask a quick question to help you keep taking action. But do remember that the purpose of these calls is to help you take action and the benefits that will produce for you. If you are looking for coaching then have a look at this page.

Won’t a call every hour actually take up more time so I actually take less action?

I know it sounds counter-productive but the call gives you the opportunity to:

  • Voice a commitment to take a specific action
  • Have a sense of accountability towards that action
  • Keep focus on what you are doing
  • Avoid time consuming distractions
  • Share those moments throughout the day when you want to do a “happy dance”
  • Gain a sense of community and support

Most people find that they actually get far more done AND they actually find it much more fun then when they have tried to do it on their own.

Do I have to take part in every call/ all day?

Not unless you want to! The option is there for you to take part in every call and you will be more than welcome to do that. However, it is not in any way compulsory.

This is not a suggestion that you must work for the 12 continuous hours that the action days calls are scheduled over! They are scheduled over that time period to make them more accessible to more individuals time zones and working hours.

Can I use skype to call in?

Yes
